Iron Heart's interpretation of the iconic Levi's 1955 501, their 1955 features a high rise and tapers from the knee to the cuff. This iteration is cut from their 14oz indigo selvedge denim. The 1955 has a relaxed cut that we think is super flattering on a variety of body types, and is a good option for someone who appreciates classic denim fits but wants to dip their toes into the world of Iron Heart.
To create this darkened variation, Iron Heart takes a pair of standard IH-1955S-142 jeans and steep the entire garment in black dye using a sulphur dyeing process. This stains the indigo denim and stitching, and oxidises the metal hardware, with the added benefit of removing all shrinkage from the fabric. A unique middle ground between Iron Heart's traditional indigo and black denims, over time the fabric will gradually fade with blue-tinged hues in high-wear areas.
